Jose Luis Vilson: Schooling, education, and the work we do in this moment

Join us for a conversation with José Luis Vilson, educator, blogger, author of This is Not a Test: A New Narrative on Race, Class and Education, and founder of EduColor.org.  In this conversation, we’ll be elevating the education crisis of the day in the context of the countrywide crises of a global pandemic, racial uprising, economic stratification, and how that affects our students’ learning. 

José Vilson will discuss his experiences as a former NYC public school math teacher, current public elementary school parent, education activist and author, and current PhD student at Teachers College, Columbia University.
