Majors: Education Studies and Psychology
I chose to major in Education Studies at Wesleyan because I am interested in exploring global education and the inequities that race, culture, and poverty play in the educational opportunities available in a given location.
I’ve been involved in all things Education since Freshman Year. As a freshman I worked with WesELL tutoring Syrian refugees through the COVID pandemic. Additionally I’ve been a part of the Adolescent Sexual Health Awareness Organization teaching and curating a sexual health curriculum for students across the state of CT.
This year I was an Education Studies Student Liaison. As liason I hosted Sunday Study hours at the CES house, planned student events for Education Studies students, publicized events and happenings to classmates through Instagram and assisted at the Global Education Speaker Series spring semester. I was also a course assistant for EDST 351, Case Studies in Educational Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As a senior, I look forward to continuing my journey through Education Studies as a Student Liaison for the Department.
